Are There Any Other Conditions
Swindon Liberal Democrats maintain a list of "Approved Candidates", from which Liberal Democrat candidates for Swindon Borough Council are selected. This involves an application and an interview by a panel of 3 local Liberal Democrats.
Only people on the "Liberal Democrats Swindon Borough Council Approved Candidates List" can be considered for selection to stand as a Liberal Democrat for the Swindon Borough Council.
If you haven't been approved yet, you can apply for approval now (or when you apply for selection).

2 - Fill in each document.
3 - Attach the completed forms to an email and send them to: hello@swindonld.uk or post to Swindon Steering Group at 58 Upham Road, Old Walcot, SN3 1DN
4 - You will then be called to an interview panel, who will interview you to confirm your suitability to be a Liberal Democrat Candidate for Swindon Borough Council.
FAQs
Q1: If I am approved, can I stand for Swindon Borough Council as a Liberal Democrat?
Not automatically! The selection process for each individual seat will be advertised in due course. Only Approved Candidates may apply to be considered for each Swindon Borough Council seat.
Q2: Can I apply for more than one seat?
Yes! Please indicate which ward is your preferred ward to contest. If you win two selection contests then you will be required to choose which ward to contest. This process ensures that you do not have to “second guess” which ward to apply for.
